    High Availability of log

    Hi,

I have a question about "shinken log".

Imagine we have a cluster of shinken ( One master, one slave ).

My shinken master is going down so my slave take the role of "master".

So after many time( minute, hour etc..) my master is back.

All logs which was generated by my shinken slave, are they "copied" to the shinken master ?

I ask this question because log is very important for me. So i want to know if all "information" are going back to the master.

    Friendly,

    Hsafla

For logs I think not. But all host / services data should be. Logs are only a trace of host/services alert usually.

Yes i know it but log is important for me because i use it for reporting or availability. For example Thruk use log of shinken to generate availability reports.

    Any ideas ?

Well maybe you can merge them with rsync - > cat -> sort. The timestamp will help to do it.

    Hi,

Maybe i have an other solution. I use SQLlite for the moment.

If i use MongoDB to store data and logs, and after MongoDB do he's native replication.

    Is that a viable solution ? :

Absolutely, high mobility of law is expressed here or the development in the near future. The chance of the mobile sources and resume genius cost are cussed for the effect of the plants. The tip is enduring for the implied items for humans. The struggle is pictured for the mixing of the goals for the future ramifications.
