    Installing snmp

    Dear all,

    I just started to install of shinken,
    and by configuring an snmp host I have this error :

    /bin/sh: /usr/local/shinken/libexec/check_snmp_netint.pl: No such file or directory

    I suppose it's just a question of installing the right plugin, so I tried first with just manubulon,
    and then I run :
    ./install -p check_netint
    but still, same error.

    I tried to restart shinken (/etc/init.d/shinken restart)
    I tried to reboot
    I tried to install from the script, then I uninstalled it and tried from sources,
    still it's the same error.

    What should I do, please ?

    Thanks !

    PS I'm using CentOS 6 on virtualbox

    Re: Installing snmp

    Hi

    I have the same problem :

    ./install -p check_netint
    > Found installation parameters
    --> ETC=/usr/local/shinken/etc
    --> VAR=/usr/local/shinken/var
    --> LIBEXEC=/usr/local/shinken/libexec
    --> TARGET=/usr/local/shinken
    > checking if shinken is installed in /usr/local/shinken
    +--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    | Install install_check_netint
    +--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    > Downloading check_netint
    > install check_netint

    But nothing in /usr/local/shinken/libexec

    regards

    Re: Installing snmp

    Note that it I try to check the server manually, it works :

    snmpwalk -v 1 hostname.ici.ch -c Pa$$w0rd system

    And, too, it's just the Network Usage that is not working.
    other snmp reports are fine.

    I have installed a Centos 6, "basic server" with just theses few commands :
    yum update
    reboot
    curl -L http://install.shinken-monitoring.org | /bin/bash
    yum install snmpcheck net-snmp-utils

    and then defined a host :
    # cat myserver.cfg
    define host{
    use linux
    host_name myserver
    address ,yserver.ici.ch
    _SNMPCOMMUNITY Pa$$w0rd
    }

    and restarted shinked

    Re: Installing snmp

    Hi,

    ./install -p check_netint
    Then create a symlink between check_netint.pl and check_snmp_netint.pl

    Code:
    ln -s /usr/local/shinken/libexec/check_netint.pl /usr/local/shinken/libexec/check_snmp_netint.pl
