    Windows - WMI

    Hi,

I have install the new version of Shinken on my VM, i add a new host and i have the error "The WMI query had problems. You might have your username/password wrong or the user's access..."

    I put in resource.cfg the values :

    $DOMAINUSER$=administrator
    $DOMAINPASSWORD$=password
    $LDAPBASE$=dc=society,dc=com
administrator is a domain administrator. In my first test, i try the same host and the same values and it was ok ! So i don't understand...

Somebody has the same problem ?

    Thanks

    Re: Windows - WMI

Can you try with direct calling with the shinken user and the plugin check_wmi_plus ? So we will see if it's the plugin or a parameter that is changed between resources.cfg and the real call.

Thanks, i found the problem with the commande.

First time, it's doesn't work ! The error was on the user, i wrote $DOMAINUSER$=administrator but the good way is $DOMAINUSER$=administrator@domain.com !

    It's normal !?

It depend on the distant server I think. For single domain it should be useless, bot not in multi-domain of course.

But I don't understand why it change in fact :

    Ah ok... ;D

The Shinken VM isn't in the domain, it's not the reason ?

I'm not sure. The connexion is with a classic user, not with a kerberos ticket, so in the domain or not should not change. The "user" interpretation is done by the distant server, not the source I think.
