SNMP Port not valid for check_akcp.pl

I don't know why I keep getting this error.
    If I use:
    snmpwalk -v 1 -c public localhost system
I get a bunch of info.
    But check_akcp.pl:
    ./check_akcp.pl -H localhost -C public -P 1

    gives me:
    UNKNOWN: Port not valid!

I configured snmpd with tutorial from your wiki.
Except file /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf didn't have any line "agentAddress", so I manually added the one stated in tutorial.
And yes, I have restarted snmpd.
I am on Ubuntu, and this is my first contact with Snmpd, so I apologize in advance, if I missed something obvious

check_akcp.pl is done for checkign akcp hardware, small box for environnemental checks (temperature, humidity).

Are you sure it's what you want to monitor as localhost?

No, i am not sure ;D
But this test is configured for localhost during default installation. I didn't do anything beside default install, and this snmp check was already included and not working.

Hum... so let get back to the root problem

Why test with check_akcp.pl? Can you look at your localhost templates? (should be linux, generic-host).

    root@ocs:/usr/local/shinken/etc/hosts# more localhost.cfg
    define host{
    use linux
    contact_groups admins
    host_name localhost
    address localhost
    icon_set server
    }

Re: SNMP Port not valid for check_akcp.pl

Is this temperature check caused by the fact, that in the default installation we can find:
    /usr/local/shinken/etc/packs/environmental/akcp/services/temperature.cfg.

And in that file there is line:
    Code:
    host_name linux
Does this line cause, that, if I define in localhost:
    Code:
    use generic-host, linux
that it will run this test for all hosts, that are using linux host template?

Re: SNMP Port not valid for check_akcp.pl

    Arg

    It's the packs/environmental/akcp/services/temperature.cfg that is wrong :'(

My mistake. I fixed it in https://github.com/naparuba/shinken/...06f63cb740c009

all you need is to change linux by akcp in temperature.cfg
