    Nagvis link error when trying to access Shinken WebUI host

    Using Shinken 1.0 on ubuntu Server 10.04.

    Great product, everything is working well except when using Nagvis and Shinken WebUI. If I add a host on a Nagvis map, I can hover over and see status. When I try to click on a host link I get a generic "Website cannot be found". The link appears to be http://<ip_address>/nagios/cgi-bin/s...host=Localhost.

    I checked the shinken wiki and it looks like the htmlcgi config needs to be edited in the nagvis.ini.php. Is there a example that can be used with the Shinken WebUI?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

    you can redefine the links in the nagvis.ini.php under etc folder of nagvis in the defaults section (i've done this kind of modification with check_mk multisite).

    ; target for the icon links
    urltarget="_self"
    ; URL template for host object links
    hosturl="/check_mk/view.py?view_name=host&site=default&host=[host_name]"
    ; URL template for hostgroup object links
    hostgroupurl="/check_mk/view.py?view_name=hostgroup&hostgroup=[hostgroup_name]"
    ; URL template for service object links
    serviceurl="/check_mk/view.py?view_name=service&site=default&ser vice=[service_description]&host=[host_name]"
    ; URL template for servicegroup object links
    servicegroupurl="/check_mk/view.py?view_name=servicegroup&servicegroup=[servicegroup_name]"
    ; URL template for nested map links
    ;mapurl="[htmlbase]/index.php?mod=Map&act=view&show=[map_name]"

    Re: Nagvis link error when trying to access Shinken WebUI host

    I see the file, how do I define the port? When I access a node on using the Shinken WebUI it's using: http://<IP_Address>:8080/host/[host_name]. When I try and feine just host/[host_name] in nagvis.ini.php it looks like it's using port 80. maybe I am missing something.

    Thanks!

    Code:
    hosturl="http://<IP_Address>:8080/host/[host_name]"
    If you use this, it does not work ?

    Re: Nagvis link error when trying to access Shinken WebUI host

    Hi
    At this moment not working due update, but link between nagvis and multisite or shinken webui for service or host details work fine...
    I've looked at my backup conf files and given instructions are ok.. also be careful at nagvis.ini.php with "LogonMultisite" section to manage auth from nagvis to multisite (use same auth method and files)

    I copy my working conf at nagvis.ini.php with multisite

    ; URL template for host object links
    hosturl="/check_mk/view.py?view_name=host&site=default&host=[host_name]"
    ; URL template for hostgroup object links
    hostgroupurl="/check_mk/view.py?view_name=hostgroup&hostgroup=[hostgroup_name]"
    ; URL template for service object links
    serviceurl="/check_mk/view.py?view_name=service&site=default&ser vice=[service_description]&host=[host_name]"
    ; URL template for servicegroup object links
    servicegroupurl="/check_mk/view.py?view_name=servicegroup&servicegroup=[servicegroup_name]"

    and for webUI also worked ok
    hosturl="http://my.shinken-internalDNS-name.net:7767/host/[host_name]"
    serviceurl="http://my.shinken-internalDNS-name.net:7767/service/[host_name]/[service_description]"

    But with shinken UI you have not at this moment host or service groups...

    ciao
