How to get alert when satellites are down ?

    Hi,

I am using shinken to monitor 2 realms for 2 sites : Nantes and Croisic. Nantes is the main site and on the Croisic, there is only a scheduler+poller+broker. Physically, I juste have one server on the Croisic site, it's not HA.

So I would like to have an alert if the daemons on the Croisic have problems : server down or broken VPN link between Nantes and Croisic for instance. For now I got nothing if the monitoring server has a problem : everything seems fine in webui…

Is there a way to define notification for the daemons ? I could not find it in the doc. Or should I define in the realm Nantes a host for the monitoring server in the Croisic in order to have alerts ?

    I am using shinken 1.4.2.

    Kind regards,

    Adrien

Just add checks from a central poller that check your daemons

OK, Thanks for the answer. I was not sure if it was the good way to do it.
