    ...shinken performances

I just developped a very quick and dirty script to monitor the latency using livestatus.
Then, I 've found this :

    https://www.monitoringexchange.org/i...eck_nagiostats

So, I've activated the status.dat module. The status.dat file is not empty, but the answers of the plugins are all "0"
Is there another way to have those kind of metrics, to check the performance of shinken ?

    Code:
    CURRENT STATUS DATA
    ------------------------------------------------------
    Status File: /opt/shinken/var/status.dat
    Status File Age: 0d 0h 0m 15s
    Status File Version: (null)

I think your status.dat is file is void. Look at the brokerd.log to see if the status.dat module is running. But this module will slow your whole server, writing the status.dat file is really a huge task, even on tmpfs :'(

Actually, it is not. There is a lot of information is the shinken status.dat.

The broker is working correctly. But I'm not sure it respects the same specs the plugin needs.

I know that writing this file is i/o consuming. But, I think it would be solution to monitor the perfs of shinken.
Obviously, it's not the best solution.

How can I get the infos ? Maybe, I'll think of writing one using mklivestatus.

I think from now the best solution is indeed the LiveStatus one

    Re: ...shinken performances

There nearly nothing that is presented to the arbiter as daemon perf_data. We should add latency, load and queues length values to the arbiter 'update_data' call so this one can then export theses data to be broks or read by the shinken-admin command.
