    define host with passive check

    Hi,

I monitore multiple host at different location and, for each, I don't have a access from Interne.

I want use a passive check to define if the host is UP or DOWN, I can define this behaviour on a service with freshness and one check_dummy 2 (CRITICAL) if there is no update after 120 secondes. But can I define the same behaviour on a host directly ?

Re: define host with passive check

    Hi,
yes you can. You must define a check_dummy command for the host. You can also use freshness t otrigger the launch of this command by Shinken. Your host must send an NSCA host_check service notification to Shinken for it is considered as an host passive check result

    Best regards, Fred.
